Ever noticed that there's no bass guitar on the studio version?
It's surprising considering the completely amazing Paul Gardiner bassline on the live versions!
Anyone know why PG didn't record his bass part on the studio version? Probably just a time issue in the studio for the b-side (one of the best!), but wondered if there was anything more to it.

I guess we will never know the answer but I agree its definitely one of (if not) the best b sides, possibly good enough to be a single in its own right imo.

Paul's bass on LO 79 is really good.
The original is a throwaway piece of pap that no-one would give a monkey's about if it hadn't been the B-side of "Are 'Friends' Electric?" and therefore the second Numan song they had ever heard.
